Evaluate
Before creating a new website, it’s important to carefully consider whether it is truly necessary or if existing platforms and resources can meet the need. A new site requires ongoing maintenance, clear ownership, and consistent updates—without these, it can quickly become outdated or confusing for users. Evaluating the long-term purpose and sustainability of the site ensures it adds real value rather than duplicating efforts.

Once you have finished building your website, please be sure to review all web standards to ensure your site meets all requirements.
- Do you have a parent site title?
- Is a Contact page in the main navigation?
- Do the headers on each page of your site follow the correct header structure?
- Do you have descriptive alt text on each image on your website? Alternatively, have you marked decorative images as needed?
- Have you reviewed files on your website for accessibility?
